Dr Andy is fortunate to have been in the Dental environment from the age of 16. His roles have included dental assistant, decontamination manager and practice manager.

Dr Andy has worked in both NHS and Private practice across the province and acquired Abercorn Dental Care in 2019. Andy takes a very relaxed, friendly and professional approach to his treatments and always strives to make your visit a very comfortable and memorable one.

Dr Andy’s experience, dedication and passion to Dentistry has resulted in his highly regarded reputation. Andy holds 5 postgraduate degrees from the prestigious Queens University Belfast, Newcastle University and the 3 Royal College of Surgeons in – Ireland (Dublin), England (London) and Scotland (Glasgow)

He brings individuality and creativity  to every patient, every day in his care. He provides many specialised dental treatments and appliances and more information can be found on the treatment pages.

Joanne is a highly experienced dentist who graduated from Queens University Belfast in 1996, gaining her Bachelor of Dental Surgery.

She joined the Practice in 2003. Joanne has built strong, lasting relationships with her patients and has had the privilege of seeing many families grow and thrive.

Outside of her professional life, Joanne is a dedicated mother to three children, juggling their various hobbies and activities with her usual enthusiasm.

John is our very experienced, specialist dental technician who designs and creates restorative dental equipment and appliances which are custom made for our patients at Newry Dental Centre.

He corrects irregularities in our patients dentitions using removable dental prosthesis.

Johns work is one of a kind and we are very happy to have him as part of our team.

Megan qualified from Trinity College Dublin with a Diploma in Dental Hygiene.

Megan has extensive experience in a wide range of clinical settings providing hygiene maintenance and periodontal treatment for all patient types.

Megan is passionate about promoting oral health along with educating patients on preventative care and positive lifestyle changes.

Outside of Newry Dental Centre, she enjoys running, spending time with her family and socialising with her friends.

Patrice brings 33 years of dental nursing experience. 

She qualified in dental nursing having gained the National Examining Board for Dental Nurses certificate in dental nursing in 1996 and the National Examining Board for Dental Nurses certificate in Conscious Sedation for dental nursing in 2003.

Patrice is a dedicated and hardworking dental nurse who takes great pride in providing excellent care to patients. Her attention to detail makes her a valued member of our team.

Outside of work she enjoys spending time with her family.

Fiona has over 10 years of experience working as a dental receptionist, offering warm, professional experience to all patients.

Outside of work, she enjoys spending quality time with her family. Fiona enjoys going on family walks in the countryside with her husband and children and enjoys going to Slieve Gullion Forest Park. She really enjoys baking with the kids and watching family movies together.

She also loves to take trips over to Liverpool as much as they can to visit their eldest son.

In addition to her work and family life, Fiona and her husband run a holiday home and they enjoy meeting and greeting quests from all over the world.
